Substrate for hybrid structures
1D alumina nanofibers based hybrid materials are good candidates for lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery electrodes due to their better-conducting pathways, faster mass transport, and good strain relaxation. For example, such hybrid structures consisting of alumina nanofibers covered with metal nanoclusters could be applied as stable anode materials with high reversible capacity.
